SustaTrace works on its own. SustaGate is not required — it is a sibling layer you add when formal measurement and reporting are needed.

Clear boundary

SustaTrace keeps the product passport and supply path without SustaGate. Lot, shipment, handoffs and UUID/QR verification are Trace’s own job. SustaGate only joins when ISO 14064, CBAM, ESRS or PCF measurement and reporting outputs are needed. CarbonX3 sealing is also optional — an evidence layer that makes the path independently checkable, not a setup requirement.

Trace’s core work aligns with CX339; the others mostly serve Gate or claim processes — none are required to set up Trace.

CX337 Gate line

CBAM evidence

Evidence record for embedded emissions declarations. CBAM / SKDM outputs are prepared on the Gate side.

Sustainability report

ESRS / CSRD finalisation and report lock. Declaration evidence stays on the Gate backbone.

Supply-chain traceability

Product path / passport record. Lot, shipment and handoff steps are Trace’s primary job.

    Lot, plant, shipment and handoff steps gather in the product passport. Gate not required.

    Filing / report — SustaGate (optional)

    When CBAM, ESRS, ISO 14064 or PCF output is needed, the Trace path connects to the Gate backbone.

    Seal + anchor — Micro Ledger / Green Chain (optional)

    Evidence Sealing is live on Micro Ledger; the root anchors to L1 via L2Anchor. The Trace → L2 automated bridge is on the roadmap. Raw operational data is not written to the chain.

    Lookup — UUID/QR or CX3Scan (optional seal)

    The Trace UUID/QR path is already checkable. For sealed records, CX3Scan explorer + /l2-evidence are live today.

CX337–341 are not carbon credits, tokens or investment products. Authorised role records do not replace accredited verifiers or official portal processes. This site has no Trace L2 API; Micro Ledger Evidence Sealing and CX3Scan /l2-evidence are live as products. A SustaTrace subscription does not require a SustaGate subscription.
